Starting something new is always exciting. After working in social media marketing for more than five years, I’m incredibly excited to introduce Paperclip Studio, which is a space where strategy, creativity, and opportunity come together.
Paperclip Studio is more than a social media studio. It’s a place where I’ll be sharing everything I’ve learned from years of working with businesses around the world, while also helping freelancers and business owners navigate the ever-changing world of social media.
If you’re a business owner trying to grow online or a South African freelancer looking to build a career for yourself, you’re in the right place.
Five Years of Social Media Experience Across Global Clients
Over the past five years, I’ve had the opportunity to work with more than 70 clients across 10 different industries. From startups and small businesses to established brands, my work has focused on helping companies build strong online presences through strategic social media management and content creation.
One of the most exciting parts of freelancing has been working with businesses across different countries. Through social media marketing, I’ve collaborated with clients in South Africa, the United States, Canada, and other parts of the world, gaining experience across a variety of markets and audiences.
Every brand is different, but the goal is always the same: helping businesses show up consistently, communicate clearly, and connect with the right audience online.
This experience is what eventually led to the creation of Paperclip Studio.
What Paperclip Studio Is All About
Paperclip Studio was created to bring structure and strategy to social media.
Many businesses struggle with social media not because they lack good products or services, but because their online presence doesn’t reflect the quality of their work. Social media can easily become inconsistent, rushed, or treated as an afterthought.
At Paperclip Studio, the focus is on helping brands treat social media like an important part of their business.
This includes:
Social media strategy
Content creation and content planning
Brand positioning and messaging
Ongoing social media management
Consulting and guidance for businesses building their online presence
Instead of random posting or chasing trends, the goal is simple: structured, intentional social media that supports real business growth.
A Resource for Freelancers and Business Owners
Paperclip Studio is also something very personal to me.
Freelancing gave me the opportunity to work with global clients, build a career on my own terms, and eventually launch my own studio. Because of that, I’m passionate about helping others explore the same opportunities.
Through this platform, I’ll be sharing resources, insights, and advice about:
Social media marketing strategies
Building a freelance career
Working with international clients
Creating sustainable online businesses
Growing a brand through social media
Whether you’re a freelancer learning to market your services or a business owner looking to grow your brand online, my goal is to share practical knowledge that you can actually use.
Why Freelancing Opportunities Matter in South Africa
South Africa is full of talented, creative, and hardworking people. Unfortunately, many professionals still feel underpaid, undervalued, or limited by traditional job opportunities.
Freelancing and online work are opening doors that didn’t exist a decade ago. Today, South Africans can work with businesses across the world, earn in international markets, and build careers that aren’t limited by geography.
But starting out can feel overwhelming if you don’t know where to begin.
That’s why I believe South African freelancers need access to the right tools, knowledge, and guidance to succeed in the online economy.
And that’s exactly what I hope Paperclip Studio will provide.
Building Something Bigger
Paperclip Studio is still young, but it represents everything I’ve learned over the last five years of freelancing, client work, and social media strategy.
This is where I’ll be sharing insights about building a strong online presence, navigating freelance work, and creating opportunities through digital platforms.
If you’re a business owner who wants to grow your brand through social media or a freelancer who wants to build a career online, I’d love for you to follow along.
This is just the beginning.
